I arrived in Alaska in May, but it still looked and felt like winter. Just as the snow began to melt, my digital camera (Sony A7) broke, and instead of getting it fixed, I took a wild leap, and switched to film. I expected to shoot landscapes, but instead fell in love with the small, but tight, Denali community. Through several hiccups with the film, these are the photos that survived. So much more impactful than places, are people.
